The first fascinating element of my night at Jersey’s Opera House, listening to Rachel Bridge impart her wisdom on ‘How to make a Million by Lunchtime’, was the audience. From schoolkids to suited and booted businessmen, everyone was there with notebooks at the ready to discover how to make their fortune… and fast.
I’ve listened to Rachel talk before and love her no-nonsense, anecdotal approach. She speaks such common sense with good humour and if what she has to say doesn’t get you planning, her enthusiasm and animated manner is sure to fire you up.
She’s interviewed some of the most successful entrepreneurs in the world and reflects on their stories to evidence some great points. The fast-paced format worked brilliantly. A toy clock counts down the hours to lunchtime and our big revenue haul. Along the way, Rachel highlights some brilliant brands and how they made it big, including ‘Eat Natural’, ‘Bert’s Chips’ and ‘A Quarter of’, with samples even being thrown to audience members to both prove the point and sustain them!
Anyway, must dash, I’m off to get a good night’s sleep. Armed with the knowledge from the lady herself, I’ve a million to make in the morning.
