Literary St Helier: Guided Walk

To celebrate Jersey’s Festival of Words, Blue Badge Guide Tom Bunting takes you on a literary tour of St Helier.

From the knights of the Round Table to Victor Hugo, Jersey has been the inspiration for writers and poets over the centuries. Discover more about some of the Island’s greater and lesser-known wordsmiths. There’ll be a look at local  writers, immigrants and passers through; you’ll wander with Wace the Norman poet, loiter with Lillie Langtry, Jersey’s most famous actress, and raise your glass to the revolutionaries Marx and Engels, plus discover what the plaque in the picture is all about.
