Christian Foley

Poetry Workshops

  • La Passerelle

  • Free

  • Friday 25 September

    09:00 - 15:00

Christian Foley will bring energy, creativity and connection to each workshop, inviting students to see language as something alive—flexible, playful and full of possibility. Through a series of engaging word games, interactive poetry and rap activities, he will perform with students, building confidence. Inspired by his performance, participants will create their own raps or poems, exploring themes that matter to them while developing both emotional expression and literacy skills. With an emphasis on experimentation – rhyming optional – students discover their unique voice, and, if they’re lucky, the sessions will end with a show-stopping freestyle finale from Christian himself.

Christian Foley is a UK-based rap poet, performer and educator known for his dynamic, collaborative approach to creative writing. Blending spoken word, hip hop and storytelling, he has worked extensively in schools and festivals, helping young people find confidence in their voice and enjoyment in language. His workshops focus on participation, play and performance, encouraging students to experiment with words and express their ideas with clarity and creativity. Whether on stage or in the classroom, Christian is passionate about making poetry accessible, relevant and empowering for all.
