  • Who are the organisers of Jersey Festival of Words?
    Jersey Festival of Words is run by the Jersey Literary Festival Association, a registered not-for-profit organisation. The JFLA is chaired by Jennifer Bridge and other committee members are Paul Bisson (vice-chairman), Marnie Baudains (secretary), Andy Le Seelleur (treasurer), Pippa Le Quesne (Festival director), Lauren Hallam (Data Officer), Chris Bright, Jo Olszewski, Alana Rice, Lucy Layton, Richard Pedley and Jacqueline Mezec.
  • How do I purchase tickets in advance?
    All events on this website have a click-through link to their respective online booking page included on the event description page. Freedom Centre events (and the Lido) can be booked via the Opera House website: https://jerseyoperahouse.ticketsolve.com/ticketbooth/event-categories/48239 Events at Jersey Arts Centre can be booked by clicking on the relevant links as outlined above, or directly from the Arts Centre ticket office. For any queries prior to this please email info@jerseyfestivalofwords.org.
  • Can I just turn up to any event and pay on the door?
    Yes, you can just turn up and pay on the day of the event, though of course your choice of seating will be determined by whichever seats we have left. It's unusual for us to sell out an event entirely, so chances are you WILL get a seat.
  • Will I be able to meet the authors?
    While we cannot arrange personal meetings, every author will do a book signing after the event and it will be possible to say hello and purchase a personalised copy. Most events also feature a Q+A session, allowing you to ask a question directly.
